About your new Employer:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Accountant for a 6-month contract to support a global manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of enhancing accounting processes and improving operational efficiency within a dynamic corporate environment. The successful candidate will have a strong technical accounting background with the ability to assess and optimize end-to-end accounting workflows, implementing process improvements and streamlining operations.

About your new role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be an integral part of the project. You will be hands on in making a difference to the accounting processes and communicating the change to all relevant stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Assess and evaluate current accounting processes from start to finish to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Lead initiatives to streamline financial processes, ensuring alignment with best practices and business needs.
• Work closely with business partners (BPs) to understand their needs and translate these into actionable process improvements.
• Provide technical accounting support and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in accounting operations and contribute to business performance.
• Develop and implement strategies for simplifying complex accounting systems, enhancing productivity, and reducing manual efforts.
• Deliver clear, concise communication to stakeholders at all levels, especially in a remote work environment.
• Maintain a focus on continuous improvement and innovation within the accounting function.

About you:
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
• CPA/CA qualified or equivalent, including overseas qualification (desirable)
• 3-5 yrs exp in medium to large organisation(s) with a strong understanding of best practices in accounting
• Demonstrated technical expertise in accounting processes and systems.
• Experience in process improvement and the ability to think outside the box to drive efficiency and innovation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with business partners and provide clear updates, especially in remote settings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and process optimisation.
• A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering outcomes in a timely manner.
• Large ERP experience such as Oracle or SAP is preferable
